Drone Media

As our company name suggests, drone media has always been our bread and butter.  Whichever acronym you want to call them (UAV, UAS, RPAS etc.), the use of drones has out grown the average aerial photographer and is rapidly increasing across multiple industries & this is where we excel.

When looking for a commercial drone company you should always confirm at least 3 things:-

1).  Make sure they carry commercial insurance and have public liability.

However well maintained a drone is, there is always a chance it may come crashing down (prop failure, bird-strike etc) causing damage, injury or even worse.  If you engage a non-insured pilot then you may find yourself liable if something goes wrong.

2).  Make sure they are trained & professionally qualified.

​A professional company will invest in their training, and just as you wouldn't ask anyone other than a surgeon to remove an appendix, you shouldn't ask anyone other than a qualified operator to undertake a drone operation for you.  All our operational remote pilots have undertaken training laid down by the UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority).

3).    Make sure you provide enough information to allow the company to be able to quote accurately.

Some airspace throughout the UK will require a lot more upfront work to get take off & landing clearance than other areas and some areas also needs lot more advanced notice.  In rare cases a fee may also be due to the landowners in order to gain the correct permissions.  In addition to these points, all hazards (air & ground)  need to be taken into account in order to perform a risk assessment for safe flight.
